What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use your browser's local storage for a few settings. This page lists both.
Essential (always on)
These are needed for the site to work, so they do not need consent.

Local storage (set only in your browser, never sent to us as a cookie): edw-cart and edw-cart-saved (your cart), edw-theme (light or dark portal), view settings for lists, and flags that stop the same tip showing twice.
Analytics (only if you accept)

Until you accept, Google Analytics runs in its consent mode without setting these cookies. We also count page views ourselves without cookies (see the privacy notice).
Videos
Lesson videos are played from YouTube. On the blog we use YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, which does not set cookies until you press play. In the course player, YouTube may set its own cookies when the video loads; Google's privacy policy applies to them.
Changing your choice
Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser; the site will still work, but you will be signed out.
