Which account type should I choose?

The short answer

There are four account types:

  • Learner (student or job seeker): free courses, verifiable certificates and internships.
  • Working professional: the same free learner account, for building skills alongside your job.
  • University or college: for staff of a university, college or school, such as lecturers and placement or training officers.
  • Employer: for people who hire or train for a company, to find engineers, post jobs and plan internships.

How to sign up

Organisation sign-ups need an official email on your organisation's own domain; personal addresses such as Gmail are not accepted. Our team then verifies the organisation, usually within one working day.

Everyone signs in with the same Log in form. You can change your type later in Settings: see How do I change my account type?.
