How do I change my account type?

The short answer

Open Settings, then Account, and use the Account type card. Learner and Working professional switch at once; moving to Employer or University asks for your organisation's details.

Change your account type

Your portal

  1. Click Settings
  2. Click Account
  3. Click Account type
  4. Click Choose a type
  5. Click Confirm

Your account type is shown in Settings, on the Account tab, in the Account type card.

  1. Choose the type you want: Learner, Working professional, University or college or Employer.
  2. Read what changes, then confirm.

What happens next:

  • Learner and Working professional switch at once. Your courses, portal and certificates stay the same.
  • To Employer or University, you give your organisation's name and country (city and website are optional). You then open that portal when you sign in. Your learner record, courses and certificates are kept, not deleted. Our team verifies a new organisation, usually within one working day, and some actions wait until then.
  • From Employer or University back to a learner account, you confirm your age, as at sign-up.

You cannot move straight from Employer to University, or the other way.
