How do the lab levels and the acceptance test work?

The short answer

Each level starts with a brief, you do the job in 3D, then a factory acceptance test checks your work against the brief. It lists every check, and you can fix what failed and run it again.

On every level

  1. 1Read the brief

  2. 2Do the job in 3D

  3. 3Run the acceptance test

    Fix what failed, run again

A lab is made of levels. You can open any level, so you do not have to go in order.

On each level

  1. Read the brief. It lists the tasks and the checks you must pass.
  2. Do the job. Land wires, write logic, jog the arm or set a rule. The lab reacts as the real kit would.
  3. Pass the test. A factory acceptance test checks your work and shows every check with its result.

If a check fails, fix it and run the test again. There is no penalty for trying again.

Which level next

The lab shows the level number, for example Level 3 of 8, and a level switcher with each level's status. After a pass it suggests the next level or lab.

Rating a lab

A signed-in learner who has saved work in a lab can rate it and leave a short review.
