The short answer
The 3D Lab is a set of engineering labs that run in your browser: wire a panel, write PLC logic, teach a robot, tune a loop and more. Opening a lab, doing the levels and passing the test are free.

Needed to start
The 3D Lab lets you practise real engineering tasks in 3D with nothing to install. Each lab has levels. Every level gives you a short brief, a job to do in the 3D scene, and a test that checks your work.
The labs
- Automation and control: PLC lab, Panel Lab, Robotics lab, Process lab
- Power and energy: Substation and MCC lab, Solar and EV lab
- AI and data: AI Workbench, AI Data Centre
- Security: OT security lab
What is free
Opening a lab, doing the levels and passing the test are free. You do not need an account to start. A free EDWartens account records your results and keeps your work on every device.
Optional extras, such as an engineer's review of your test report, are paid. The price is shown on the page before you buy.
Good to know
- The companies and colleagues in the briefs are fictional.
- It is training. It does not give you a job or a qualification.
- Our internships and job simulations use the labs for practice tasks.
