The short answer
The 3D view needs WebGL, which most current browsers offer. Update your browser, turn on hardware acceleration, or try another device. The 2D drawing shows the same machine meanwhile.
Get the 3D view working
1Update your browser
Use the latest version.
2Turn on acceleration
Hardware or graphics acceleration, then restart.
3Try another browser
Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
4Try another device
A recent phone or laptop works best.
The 3D Lab draws machines and plants in 3D, and that needs WebGL. If your browser or device does not offer it, the lab says: "The 3D view needs WebGL, which this browser or device is not offering. The 2D drawing shows the same machine."
Try these in order:
- Update your browser to the latest version.
- In your browser's settings, turn on hardware acceleration (sometimes called graphics acceleration), then restart the browser.
- Close other heavy tabs and apps, then reload the lab.
- Try another browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
- Try another device. A recent phone, tablet or laptop works best; very old devices and some remote desktops do not offer WebGL.
If it still does not work, you can keep going with the 2D drawing, which shows the same machine. To report the problem, send us a request with your device, browser and the lab page address.
