What software do I need?
Each course page lists its software, usually the vendor's free or trial version with a simulator. You never need a real PLC, and many courses start with no software at all.

You do not need any hardware. The first modules of many courses need no software at all, so you can start before you install anything.
LADX Mini in your portal lets you draw and run ladder logic in the browser, with nothing to install.
The courses teach in simulation. They do not qualify anyone to work on live equipment.
