What can employers and universities see about me?

The short answer

Nothing unless you choose. Employers see you only if you opt in to the talent pool, and a university sees you only if you link your account and agree to share. You can stop either at any time.

You are in control. Signing up for courses, internships or the lab never shares your details.

Employers

Under Career, then Profile and visibility, you choose who can find you:

  • Hidden: no employer can find you. You can still apply to jobs yourself.
  • Visible without my name: verified employers see your skills, certificates, internship and lab results, country and availability, with your initials instead of your name. They must ask before they can contact you.
  • Visible with my name: as above, plus your name, headline, links and, if you choose, your CV. Your email and phone stay private until you accept a request or apply.

You must be 18 or over to be found. Withdrawing is one click.

Universities

If you link your account to an institution with its code, you agree to share your name, email, country, course progress, certificates, PLC lab results, internship records and when you last signed in. You can stop at any time.

When you apply to a job

If you apply to a job posted on EDWartens, your profile, email and phone go to that employer only, and the page says so before you press Apply.
